Timeless Beauty

Some of the beautiful work of Mark Shaw who sadly died so young. David Shaw, Mark's only child and David's wife, Juliet Cuming maintain the extensive collection of Mark's work in Vermont, US.

Such beautiful imagery! I would love to have lived when women dressed so thoughtfully and elegantly. However, I would have wanted the comfort of modern underpinnings (garters and boning sound like torture).

I feel like all of them should be carrying an iron or a vaccuum so they look EVEN more natural in their environment. So they may look a little unnatural but definitely dreamy!

These classic photos are stunning and so lady-like. I have seen the very last one once before, but never a whole series like this. What a shame to lose a talented person so young, but at least the memory and appreciation lives on.
