This beautiful editorial is from Vogue US oct 09. Photographed by Arthur Elgort, styled by Grace Coddington and using model Karlie Kloss with tennis player Gaƫl Monfils.
The fashion is by Dior, Lacroix, Valentino, Armani and Chanel.
Ever since I saw a Project Runway episode years ago when they had to make a couture gown and learned how much work goes into one Omg I'm hooked. Absolutely beautiful. Nice post. =)
Spectacular...and the photos are amazing too!!! I finally get the chance to visit & Jason looking drop dead damn fine hetas me up then your photo spread so cool brings by temperature down. Glorious thank you for all the eye candy...and the lust flashes!!!
Two comments in one day......just couldn't resist. Love the Frecnh look (it's everwhere!) and my favorite photographer. Can't wait until the issue comes out. May have to borrow a few, not the frocks, the photos!
This was my favorite spread in that issue! It's funny, I usually concentrate more on the photography than the clothes, but I was just sighing over her outfits in this one!
Aaahhh a shoot from the current Vogue? Great! This is absolutely gorgeous I must say: Love the vintage-parisian feel in the photo's, and of course the couture dresses rock!
I adore these, and even more because Grace Coddington had a hand in producing them. She is amazing. You have to see her in September Issue. Brilliant movie.
Again, great pictorial. I want the hat in the second picture. Why don't we wear hats anymore?? They look so great and add a polished look to any outfit! Thanks for starting my Monday off to a great start!!
Wow! absolutely amazing yet again! you are just too fabulous honey! i LOVE your style! all of these are gorgeous images. i really love the first, third and fourth. i am becoming more addicted to your blog everyday. i think someone needs their own fashion magazine! i would be first to subscribe! i really enjoy seeing what fabulousness you will post next. hope you have a lovely day!
Absolutely gorgeous honey, I love it....so stylish.
I really like the beautiful blue dress in your sidebar - divine!!!
Will dish any Emmy goss after I have got it all from my friend....she did email quickly though to say she stood backstage with Kiefer for QUITE SOME TIME....I almost hyperventilated.....they were shoulder to shoulder!!! I have almost managed to convince myself that it me who saw him LOL :) xo
I love couture shoots. My boyfriend does not get why people would make clothes that aren't wearable...we watched the Project Runway where they make couture gowns and he did not really understand it :) I love it, though! It's all about the artistic inspiration.
Hope you had a lovely weekend hun! That second photo is engaging. If it was reality, she would be my hero. Too dress that beautifully and confidently dining out for lunch reading a book on her own. I love it! Have a great week. xoxo
#1. Honey. You forgot something. No really. The skirt is divine. But let's talk La Perla.
#2 Completely divine. And of course it's Proust. It couldn't very well be chick lit in a frock like that, now could it?
#3 NOT the shoes I'd wear in a revolving door -- or an escaltor. Just sayin'.
#4 Examining tennis elbow never looked so chic. Serena Williams who?
#5 First word that popped into my head? Gazelle. Legs for days, and yes, I'm jealous. I mean, I just now realized she's playing chess, for heaven's sake.
Such delightful photos, I love the old world, wonderfully vintage charm to so many of them. The one of the gal eating at the French cafe is especially wonderful!

If i could wear a dress everyday I would! I love all of these, especially the pale pink/black one.

I absolutely love hats. The British do them so well too. They are the exclamation point of an ensemble. "Outfit' is not elegant enough.
I wish we could all dress like that...pretty! :)
Oh DJ, it is so good to be back in your beautiful world!
I'm in love with images 2 and 3 (look at those amazing shoes)!
So...I see you are taking suggestions on the MOTW, well, I'm sure no one would be upset with another week of JD! :)

I love your choice of fashion shots - No. 2 is so sweet and soooo demure...! I love the idea of man of the week - but surely he is a mere babe!
Oh wow, those first couple of shots are amazing! I love those shoes in the revolving door one!
I adore the tennis player, Monfils. He is so much fun to watch play tennis.
He has such passion for the game. You can see it through his exuberance.
